State law requires dog owners to license any dog over 6 months of age with the town clerk between January 1 and April 1 every year. To obtain a license the owner must present proof that the dog is vaccinated against rabies, pay the appropriate fee, and, in the case of spayed/neutered dogs, provide a certificate of sterilization. You may license your dog by mail or use the drop box outside the town office door, if you can not get to the office.
License fees are $9.00 for spayed/neutered dogs and $13.00 for those who are not. After April 1 the fees are $13.00 and $17.00 respectively.
